Francoa sonichifolia , sometimes known as Bridal-Wreath, is a hardy perennial plant from Chile. It is mostly evergreen with wavy, cabbagy leaves and bears spikes of really very lovely flowers in the summer. The flowers are highly variable in their markings, usually variations on pale-pink, purple and red in fascinating combinations. I need to sort out my collection and work out which is which and I'm guessing none of them are named varieties as surprisingly, Francoa still isn't widely grown. None of them are disappointing.
